January 2013 Bandsters Unite

Happy New Year from Germany! To those like me who have January 2013 dates to be banded...my prayers to you for a successful surgery and a new YOU!

For those waiting on approvals or just to make up your mind...YOU WILL GET THERE...JUST HOLD ON. I have patience, but truly learned patience waiting on those little green people at the insurance company to say YES!

Speak positive, stay positive, be positive. If you know God...PRAY. He will see each of you thru this journey. I've read many posts and I have laughed, cried, gotten mad, sympatized and rejoiced with many of you through your expressions on LBT. And you have encouraged me to continue to move forward toward my goal.

Success in 2013 to each of you.

:-)

I have to be on a two week diet that consists of, 2 protein shakes, 1 cup of cottage cheese, 3 cups of raw vegtables, and a can of progresso light soup.

I have made it thru 1 week twice when they have called and stopped me and said I have to wait, they have changed my surgery date for the third time now.

I use EASvantage shakes (premixed); dark fudge chocolate is my favorite so far, if I had to choose. They taste like the carnation instant breakfast to me.

Todays your day girl!! Are you excited? Good luck with it all!

Mine started two or three hours after surgery, after I'd had my upper GI and once I started walking around.

Hi there. I just had my surgery yesterday. I had some gas in my shoulder right after surgery. But I too, just walked around and it went away.

6 days and counting...lost another 2 pounds on my pre op diet today! I made a 'vision board' of old pics of me at goal weight and how i want to look a year from now! strong, fit, confident, healthy!

Strong is the new skinny...

Congrats to all the new bandsters this week!

I love, love the idea of a vision board. I've never been thin but I know how I want to be: strong, active, and confident. I'm going to make one, too, with pictures of women doing and being like i want to--maybe headless. :) Thanks for the great idea!

Hi everyone I go in for mine on 26th bit nervous but praying this works for me! Be lovely to have some people to share experiences with!

I am a bandster! I am in my way home and considering I feel great. Glad to be on this side.

Jeez! How long were you even at the hospital???? That was FAST! My surgery is EARLY on the 29th and I have to stay the night. That's going to stink!!!!

I have to spend the night too. At first I really wanted to come home the same day. But the more I think about it the more I like the idea of having someone take care of me.

My surgery was @ 6:30 am and I was back home at 2. Luckily I had my sis whom helped take care of me :)

I had my surgery Monday and stayed overnight. It was the right thing for me to do. Having the nurses there to monitor my pain, my vital signs, and just keeping an eye on me was good. It was not comfortable, and you don't sleep well, but there is a feeling of safety just in case when you stay the night.....

I went back to OR at 11:00 and got home at 3:00. So far I am just a little sore. No gas pain unless I drink too many drink in a row. Trying to just take sips. Trying some bullion right now. Been up walking around like they told me. My sweet husband has been taking care of me.
