Is everyone getting the amount of protein they should daily? I just can't do it. I may call the nutritionist tomorrow for alternatives. I'm at day 5 post op. I feel ok and am drinking just fine but the shakes are just too much to get down.

During one of the informational sessions I had to attend, my surgeon mentioned this and also encouraged it.

I have to spend the night too. At first I really wanted to come home the same day. But the more I think about it the more I like the idea of having someone take care of me.

YES!!! The same with me. Finally today, day 5 hasn't been too bad. But we will see what tomorrow brings. I have no idea what causes this.

I just finished day 2 of my pre-op diet which is three shakes and one small meal a day. I'm wondering if anyone else has had any issues going to the bathroom a lot? Is this normal during the diet?

This is my biggest fear... Getting sick! I'm trying to stay away from my sick coworkers and was my hands as much as possible.

Went for my pre-op testing today and pre-op diet starts on Wednesday!! Two weeks away. I'm finally getting excited!!

Hi everyone, I'm new and wasn't sure where to post this question so I figured I'd start at this board. I don't have my surgery date yet but I'm slowly getting there. My question is... Are there any alternatives to Tylenol? I know ibuprofen and NSAID's are out of the question but I have a Tylenol allergy so that's out of the question as well. I have an appointment in a few weeks and i was told the Dr. and i woukd be going over it then but I didn't want to wait to find out. Thanks for the help.

I'm sure it's not easy trying to get back in track. How are you feeling after your fill?

I've come across another thread where someone didn't get a full for almost two years. maybe it's not unusual. Can I ask which doctor or which office you go to? If you don't mind sharing. Im not happy with the office I contacted in providence. They are making me wait until November to even sit with the doctor for my consultation.

I'm good. Have you been banded yet? I just started my journey. Trying to decide if I want a doctor from the area or travel to Boston.

Hi everyone! I'm new here. I recently decided that weight loss surgery is the best choice for me. In my Quest in finding as much as info as possible I came across this forum. Everyone seems so nice and positive as well as full of information. I recently contacted a surgeon who mailed me a questionerre I had to fill out and they will contact me with an appointment once the doctor has looked over my info. It feels like its taking forever! I just want to get the ball rolling. I look forward to hearing everyone's story.
