Happy New Year from Germany! To those like me who have January 2013 dates to be banded...my prayers to you for a successful surgery and a new YOU!

For those waiting on approvals or just to make up your mind...YOU WILL GET THERE...JUST HOLD ON. I have patience, but truly learned patience waiting on those little green people at the insurance company to say YES!

Speak positive, stay positive, be positive. If you know God...PRAY. He will see each of you thru this journey. I've read many posts and I have laughed, cried, gotten mad, sympatized and rejoiced with many of you through your expressions on LBT. And you have encouraged me to continue to move forward toward my goal.

When I went to surgery all my mom could say was " Lord you know what your daughter is getting into" this decision was one of the hardest I had to make. I'm down 20 pounds n feels good.

January 30th is my surgery date! Pre-op diet is going smoothly. The hubby is doing it along with me and its nice to have someone to share your hard hungry times with.

Yes ma'am there are! I know that there are some threads on here specific to faith, but I've met several others who are walking by faith in their band-life. God ordering my steps has been the only way I've made it this far on my journey. And Him keeping me encouraged as my date continues to be changed has been helping me keep my sanity. So yes...you'll find us Spirit-filled Christians sprinkled throughout these threads. Don't give the devil any room here...God doesn't bring you to something good...that will help to better your life...to take it away. God wants us to care for our temples... and some of us need the band to help to do that...

It has been so awesome to see January folks getting banded one by one. Well today is my band birthday. I am so excited that it is finally here. I pray that my surgeon's hands are steady and I am thankful to have made it unscathed through the pre-op phase. Yeah!!!!

I think I have dealt with a lot less doubt than many others because I truly feel that The Lord lead me to this path. Pray and follow His lead and you will be fine.

1 week left(Jan23)...I CANT WAIT!! If anyone want to chat I'm online

Yay jhonnie!! I'm 9 days from being banded. Yay

Got my band yesterday! So far so good - I've got some trapped air in my shoulders and chest that's bothering me, but other than that I feel great for having had surgery yesterday.

Day 2 of the pre-op diet. I actually started it a day early because I have a friend coming to town on Friday, and I wanted to get over the "hump" of the first 3 days that everyone says is the worst. Hope that's true!

I was freaking out yesterday because I thought the shakes tasted disgusting, but I am handling them OK now. Only had 2 yesterday, not the prescribed 3, which I know is not good, so it's 3 a day from here on out.

Boyfriend cooked his own stir-fry last night, and it smelled divine. Even a banana right now seems like a bacon cheeseburger. I will make it. I am an all-or-nothing girl, and I'm gonna rock this.
