I dont have to crush my pills, but i take them one at a time. Each with a sip of water.

Okay - thanks guys! I think I'm going to try the one at a time thing. If I have to crush them, they're not going down!

Back in the gym for the first time since being banded on the 31st...gotta say it was kind of a slow go on the treadmill today but it does wonders for the gas!

Also lost my first 20 lbs as of this AM! 57 more to go til I hit my goal!

Wow Chad! Thats awesome! I am down 13 total from preop diet till now and we were banded same day. I cant believe you are already back at gym! I didnt ask about exercise. i guess i can do whatever doesnt hurt though...

Hey Chad

We were banded the same day by the same doctor! Happy New Year!

thanks for your replies re: port pain - my left side really hurts and it moves over onto my back (kidney area) -it really feels like the stitch in your side from running and drinking too much water .... am trying not to freak out and think that this stupid surgery has left me with internal bleeding and/or a bruised liver - its not there in the morning and escalates through the day.... I was at the grocery store today and bent over and had a sharp reminder....

I was hoping the pain would be gone by now and that I would be able to walk and sit and not wince. Perhaps I am just doing too much too soon. Its been 9 days.

Getting my first fill tomorrow, Dr said to eat regular food tonight to see how it goes down. Any suggestions? Going out with hubby, was going to have some soup and fish

Hi! We were banded the same day! Congratulations on your weight loss!?

Anyone else having a hard time getting 64 oz of liquids down? I get lil more than half that but have not hit the whole 64 yet..before surgery I would down double that amount of water.. I guzzled.. When I feel full all day it harder.. And wen I so think to drink I can't guzzle it.. :/

Try the 3 oz protein, 1/2 cup veggie, 1/4 cup of starch.

Danarose: i'm having a tough time getting all my water in too. I used to drink so much water, but i now realize i was drinking so much with my food and right afterwards. Now that we can't drink before, during, or right after meals, i find it to be hard to get all my water in. Once i can get back to the gym, i know i'll be getting more water in.

What a small world! Hope your doing well with your recovery!

Had my first fill today! Down 19 lbs since surgery! The full wasn't bad at all the worst part was him poking around trying to find my port, that hurt !! But all in all it wasn't to bad!! Yay, next appointment is 2 months out!

Well done! :D

Have my first fill tomorrow...kinda nervous. The VP for the comp I work for said today wow u have lost weight...good job. That felt awesome considering she never notices stuff like that. Kind of a defining moment.
