Y'all I was banded on the 14th and I still get shoulder pain.

I don't go for my first fill until the 19th and that is one of the questions I will be asking.

Also ever since I've started mushies my weight lost has stopped and also my bathroom schedule.

Go figure !

I'm from Texas and I'm glad the Cowgirls lost too !

hey i was banded the 19th and im on mushies now too and my weightloss has stopped too. good to know im not alone with it !

Banded on 12/14 and same here. Weight loss stopped but losing inches. The more water you can drink the better! Flush those inches off!

Banded 12-21. Started mushies on 12-28 and weight loss stopped here too. Bathroom schedule just resumed this morning...thank God!

Glad I am not alone on the weight loss stopping. Was going to get discouraged. Go for my first fill on the 8th. Counting calories and hoping he says I can start working out. Down 24 lbs and it feels amazing.

Just had my seven day post op...the Dr. removed the steri-strips and reglued me. One of my incisions looks pretty mad and while we both think it is from the waist band on my pants I have been given an antibiotic just in case. Now I just need to schedule my fill!

I am very hungry now. The liquids are not doing anything for me. Is ice the only thing on the menu day 2 post op lol?

You can get through it! Dont worry!!

I'm down 24 as well, and I have been stuck for about 2 weeks now. I have an appt. On the 10th , but she said she didn't know if we would do a fill then! Ugh! I'm just now to the point of where I don't hurt doing anything.. guess its time for the gym?!

Down 29 pounds thus far … but it has taken 10 days to whittle off that 29th pound! I do think drinking our required amount of water is essential, but it is frustrating! Doc said I can go to the gym, but nothing more than treadmills and fancy things like that. No lifting or resistance training …. yet!

I dropped 23 before surgery and another 7.5 in the week after surgery. Haven't budged since starting mushies but its probably because the system has to get used to it and when you're not getting enough calories it doesn't help either. We just need to hang with it.

i was banded on dec 26th. i think my main problem is getting full from gas. i'm lactose intolerant and had the hardest time trying to find things dairy free even protein drinks. today all i had was 8 oz of a protein drink, a sugar free ice pop around 12 noon, 16 oz of water with crystal light in the late afternoon, and 1/2 cup of cream of mushroom soup for dinner. sometimes it hurts and i get scared hoping i didn't over do something. maybe it's just the gas. my stomach will probably make a growling bubble sound overnight or so :) by the way, i am interested in anyone who wants to be friends. just let me know. ^_^

Hi everyone!

Banded on 12/21/12 best decision I have ever made:) Started working out yesterday nothing crazy just some cardio with wii fitness! It feels great!

Is anyone else using my fit pal? I have been and I really like it to track what I am eating BUT i have to say it freaks me out a little bit to see all the nutrients I am lacking in like potassium and vitamin A. I am hoping this improves once my diet is upgraded!

I am amazed at what little bit of food I eat and it satisfies me:)

Hi RNMellie,

I was banded on 12/21 as well. Tonight I did a walking dvd and felt really good after! I use the Leslie Sansone dvds to "Walk Away the Pounds." It reminded me just how out of shape I am! Lol

I use my fitness pal and really like it. Its cool to look up foods, track all my calories, and see how much I average during the day. I too am amazed at how little it takes to fill me up. If you have a myfit account, you can add me as a friend and we can look at each other's diaries :) My name is the same as on here: PBTango.

About out lbt community page...

I joined but I can only access the group by clicking on this link. If I try to go directly through the lbt groups it requires the group password. So I have to keep coming back to this email to access the group page. When i tried to reply to a couple of group posts It says I am not authorized to post to the group. Grrr. Anyone else having problems trying to use the group?

I am having a difficult time figuring out lapbandtalk.com I would like to respond to Dee1973 and cannot find an option to do that. It's probably because I'm so tired. I'm making myself stay up to the half the protein requirements I need. I don't know how were supposed to just "sip" and get 64 oz of water and 70 grams of protein. I take my protein in the morning with my vitamins and the rest of the day my stomach and neck hurt. I think I'm drinking too fast. I don't think I'm figuring out how my body is working with this band. Maybe they needed to band my throat.LOL I don't start hurting for an hour or so after i drink.

Dee1973 I picked up some box soups from "imagine" they are low sodium and made with soy milk, they are so good. Potatoes have over 800mg of potassium and these soups come in potatoe, tomatoe, butternut squash, split pea, lots and lots of variety. I've been getting bad leg aches at night so my dietictian told me to blend a banana with my protein shake which I've been doing in the morning. I've heard that Mucle milk protein does not have dairy in it, I need to check this out too. My concern is getting all the nurtrients that my body needs while the band is healing. If I waiit till my legs are sore or my hair is falling out, that's too late. But in adding all the vitamins I think it upsets my stomach. Everyone says you have to eat to lose weight, and I believe that, but after I have my first protein shake and try to get 16 oz of water throughout the day it's dinner time. I'll have to say, my husband is getting really nice dinners, because I'm so hungry:)

I was told just focus on the 70 grams of protein and 64oz of water, then if you have time and are still hungry then add the carbs, but I have yet to get that much protein and water in. But you know what, each and every day, things change, everything is constantly healing and getting better. Keep up the good work. Autumn

Dee, I forgot to mention that I make my protein shakes with coconut milk it's high in potassium and I take supplements.
