Not to split hairs....but in my experience, I have never felt "Full" after being banded. Feeling full was something that only happened when my stomach took on a lot of food....I'm dealing with my pouch now, not my stomach.

What I do get is "lack of hunger"

I'm sitting here, 4:30am, having my coffee before heading to the gym.

I have not eaten in 10 hours, and I am not hungry, nor do I desire food in the least.

That is how the band works fo me.....I'm sure it is different for other people.

Also, it took me 6-7 months after surgery to get to that point where my band starting giving me that feedback. And even then, I had to learn how to listen to the band....

I'll take my Vitamins, a shot of liquid Protein, and then have my Protein smoothie when I return from the gym....

That will hold me till lunch, providing I get enough Water in.....

That is, and has been my morning routine for quite some time now....

I am starting to feel the same way.. I got my band on August 1. I am now at 8 cc's in my 14 cc band and finally feel the restriction that makes me not think about food... for a very long time. I just have to remember to drink my Water because pretty much it makes me not think about any kind of intake.

The band isn't supposed to restrict your food intake for you, nor are you supposed to be eating until you're feeling full.

Have a look at this link, it may help: http://drsimpson.net/fills/Lap-band-eating/lap-band-not-restriction/lap-band-and-restriction.html

Its not about feeling full. Its about feeling satisfied. You have to know that now we are not supposed to be full. We are supposed to be satisfied.

Just a thought from me...

Before I got to the green zone...

I had to many PBs..I have been in the green now for 2 weeks...and I havent had even the smallest discomfort or PB...I think thats because Im never hungry now...and when I sit down for a meal I dont take a big bite ( telling myself I will chew it really good and just swallow a lil at a time..it doesnt work )

Just saying everything will clic when you get to YOUR spot !!!

its the feeling of not being hungry right after you eat. Its great feeling what others who don't have a weight problem feel. Oh I do think sometimes oh I just want that-------but it is so easy to just pass it up I love that. green zones are the best.

Trust me, you don't want to have your band FULL! Just as we are not supposed to eat until we are full! We eat to fill satisfied. The band helps slow us down so we noticed being satisfied. It is not there to keep us from eating a healthy meal. Full means nothing goes down!!! Not the place you want to be. n Please be careful comparing band fills, some bands hold more Fluid than others.

Bee Healthy! Fast is not the answer.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
