First Follow Up And Weigh In!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone! Today was my first follow up appointment with my Dr. My surgery was on Nov.16th and with the holiday, this was the first time my doctor was in my area. Y'all, I have lost 40lbs. This includes my 1 week of liquids pre-op. I am thrilled, and awed, and thankful! I was too excited not to share.

Hope everyone is doing well!!

Kristy

Thank you all very much! I'm so excited. I was released to start exercising today as well, so I'm hoping the loss just continues from here. :)

Do you mind me asking how much you lost during the one week of pre op dieting? I only had to do clears for 3 days so I only lost a few lbs. My one week check up is this Wednesday. I'm not going to be anywhere near 40 lbs down! I Have been hoping to be down 15 lbs. at my one week check up. Congrats for you though! That's awesome!

Sorry.. premature send button.. lol I too was banded on the 16th and down 32 from the start of liquids. Love the weight loss and learning how to use this tool! One question I do have for everyone is can you feel your port? Mine is still very prominent and feels like some liquid is around it. Anyone else? Congrats to everyone!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
