What Are You Thankful For

Today I was thinking about all the things I am thanful for since Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I am thankful for finding a wonderful husband that I can share the rest of my life with, thankful for my children and grandchildren, thankful for the opportunity to make a difference in other peoples lives and thankful for not going to over indulge again for the third year as the holidays approach. I have learned that holidays are about having a good time, not stuffing my face and that family means more to me then food. I have learned that I can and will be accountable for everything that I do regarding my weight loss and that includes eating things I shouldnt. Don't let the holidays sabotage you this year. Think about all your are thankful for and make that your priority.

She saved my life in so many way. She gives me a reason to live & to push forward. From the moment I knew she was growing inside me I changed. She gave me the motivation to follow my dreams of going to Med school. That journey will begin Fall of 2013.

I am thankful for my lap band because it has given be back control of my weight and its the best choice I've ever made.

I am also thankful for my boyfriend of five years who has stuck by me through everything. Im hard to deal with at time and he knows just how to deal with me.

I could not have said it better myself..... also thankful for the most wonderful family a person could want and supportive friends...

wow what a wonderful thread!

I'm most thankful for a wonderful surgeon that saved my life and gave me my life back. Although I've only lost 45 lbs and have so much more to lose, it is an accomplishment and I'm proud.

I'm thankful for my mom giving me a roof over my head after my divorce, she's my rock and biggest cheerleader throughout my journey.

And I'm most thankful for my brother and his wife who both battled cancer at the same time, a yr and a half ago. My sister-in-law is cancer free and right now my brother is in remission but still undergoing chemo every three weeks. I often ask myself why God gave him this disease and not me, he has so much to live for, a wonderful career, house, beautiful wife and me, well it's just me now. I guess God has other plans and we are not to question. I'm thankful I still have them here and in good spirits.

What an awesome thread, thanks for posting. May everyone have a blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends.
