Better Now, Thank You Guys For Helping!!!

I'm happy to say that my month long War-On-Band seems to be over. I've given up fighting it, have stopped lying to myself, reconnected with why I got this surgery, and I'm back to following the rules. I really appreciate all the kind words people have said to me in the last month as I've struggled. For me, the emotional is by far the hardest aspect. Self-sabotage is part of why I'm fat (I call it angry eating) and I have a real rebellious streak. I think I've been testing the limits.

After repeatedly getting stuck, feeling pain, throwing up, and generally feeling sorry for myself, I simply got tired of feeling bad. And you guys really helped me feel supported and like I wasn't alone...

So, now on to better things—and I've had a solid 6 days of eating well. Hooray!

Thanks guys.

So happy to here this! Remember we are here for you whenever you need us!

Take care of yourself. You can rock this!

Yay! Welcome "back"!!! The emotional aspect is challenging and when we get that under control it is amazing what we can do!

Glad to hear things are back on track.

Glad you're back,we missed you!

Happy you have reconnected with the Band! Congrats and best wishes!

Awesome...proud of you! I've really had to learn to take this journey slow after close to two years banded. I'm learning along with you and always here to support anyone in our highs and our lowest lows. We will change and adapt to our new lives and take this band in stride. My local support group and this forum have kept me from feeling isolated with the band. We must embrace our life changes. Keep up the good work!!!!

I just came back from a support meeting and everyone made me feel uncomfortable for getting the band most of them were bypass. I am in my third week and am still in the healing process not losing process. They were saying things like it so much easier and quicker. Really felt weird not being supported

Hmmmm funny but my sister had the bypass years ago and gained her weight back...she is considering band over bypass now. I think you can be a success or a failure. Don't let people put you down for your decision. I am pleased with mine...faster is not always better. I'm happy that my fat has molded back into my arms or I should say off...I'm shapely and feel good. Might have taken longer but it will last. Ok I'm on my soap box now!

My bariatric center has separate support meetings for LB & bypass. Maybe you can check around and find one strictly for LB. Best wishes!

My doctor convinced me to get the band because of the gain-back situation with bypass and sleeve... He said he's become a specialist in band-over-bypass, and that that's now the majority of his practice!! Know that you lose faster with bypass or sleeve, that's for sure, but the 5-year data is the same.

yaaaa Sasha!!! Your back in full force and you are going to do great!!!

Try Try again. You will win this battle! Be positive and Keep the Faith.

Best wishes
