I was just banded on Tuesday. Feeling good except the gas pains but I can live with them. This is a lot easier than my two c-sections!

Question though: I am not really hungry. I have been sipping Water or Decaf tea all day. I have three four once Protein shakes today and a little bit of broth. Is this enough?

According to my drs instructions I am supposed to be drinking a minimum of 48-64 ounces daily. I was banded yesterday. You don't want to get dehydrated.

I had surgery yesterday 11/8 and today is much better than yesterday. Yesterday the gas pains were HORRIBLE and they were in my neck and shoulders and I felt awful. Today they are gone in that area but I do have some in my stomach area. I started drinking my Protein Shakes today but can only drink about 3-4 sips before I start to feel full and uncomfortable. I also have lots of rumbling in my tummy followed by a gas pain, Hopefully we will all start feeling better soon.

I was banded yesterday too, and forced myself to get up twice the day of surgery and it made a really big difference. But I was dehydrated even with the intravenous Fluid, Once they upped the amount of fluids, it made such a difference. Good luck, and walking does make you feel better.

Congrats on you new band! There are a lot of Protein Shakes, including the ones you make yourself. Don't write them off too quickly. You will need them to keep you Protein levels up at first!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
