My Band Knows Its Halloween And Is Laughing At Me

Recommended Posts

From the time I woke up this morning I have been starving like I just left a concentratiion camp. My band is laughing at me telling me to go buy a bag of reeces Peanut Butter cups because it wil fill you up completely and your hunger will go away. Ah ha ha. Well it feels like it was saying that. But any way I didnt over eat today even though Im starving and I am not buying any Halloween candy either. So to my band I say you can be open as wide as you want today I will not buy any candy to let the last laugh be on you! Happy Halloweenie peeps.

I've already had a Peanut Butter cup. Is it wrong I'm praying my son gets awful candy tonight? It will make it so much easier for me to resist!!

This is the first day I find myself truly white knuckling through the day, trying to resist all the temptations. Ugh.

Well sugar is my poison. I dont know what to tell you girls that have kids except this is the true time your will power goes in to mode. It's the beginning of the Holidays from now til the first of the year. We have to stay strong even though everything is in our faces. It's hard but we can do this. Here is to the first of the year and no weight gain.

We hardly get any trick or treaters at our apt, but we bought one bag of Reeses last nite, just in case. As I was lying in bed watching tv last nite, I was thinking about nothing else but those Reeses! I thought about them everytime I got up to pee in the middle of the night. I thought about them when I woke up in the morning. I thought about them while on the treadmill at the gym. I'm thinking about them right now. The first kid that comes to my door tonite is gunna score - they're getting the whole dang bag of Reeses! I don't wanna risk having any leftover!

Pretty sure I have eaten my weight in sugar. I'm sitting here eating cauliflower now. Not that it is going to help at this point.

I have a lot of tricker treaters, plus my 3 grandkids come over. My house smells like chocolate. Grandkids, daughter & son in law stuffing their faces with chocolate. Good thing, I send all leftovers home with them. None for me! Also made hubby a pizza, next fave after chocolate and none of that either.

So Halloween turned out as a NSV for me.

PS put on a pair if 18 pants too, yay!

I indulged tonight. But I will be back on track tomorrow. Hey, I'm human and I love life. That includes a Reese's every once in a while!

My goodness.Im asking if anyone of us here are human..lol.You can give your body a little sugar once in a while. Its not an everyday indulgence. So you ate some treats.Unless you're a diabetic there is nothing wrong with that.If you're exercising like you should be.You can burn those empty calories and more off.Besides Ive read that one should designate one day out of the week to treat yourself. As an award for being diligent in adhering to your diet during the rest of the week.Youre human it's okay baby

Yep Peanut Butter cups...huge downfall and my band greets them openly. Fortunately it only lets a little bit go in but enough to do some damage!!!! Such is life that makes us human! Happy Halloween!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
