Surprised By A Fill!

Recommended Posts

im five weeks post op and saw my surgeon today for a regular post op visit. i have been feeling like im in the green zone these days, but my head is also doing alot of the food choices and restriction, which .... im happy after many years of self sabotage. my surgeon decides to give me my first fill, much to my surprise! all of you who have yet to get one, its not a big deal, pain wise.

anxious to see how different things go here in the weeks to come with Fluid now in my band.

I am sooo glad you posted this!!! I needed to hear/read the ease of NO pain thing! I haven't had a fill yet...only two weeks post op...going in 5 weeks for another appointment...and he said we will see about a fill then. Thanks for posting!

Itsjude - did they fill your band partially when it was placed? Feeling like you're in the Green Zone with an empty band is amazing. I have 6.5 cc's and think I'm finally there.

Fills for me are completely painless. They're usually quick and easy.

No I started with an empty band. The ban itself has given me decent restriction but eventually my head took over. I can eat a cup of food and be satisfied but should prolly only eat 4oz. So my surgeon injected 4ccs.

I have heard on this site about some prep for a fill so I thought for sure I would not be getting one today. I guess my surgeon does not require prep. Lol

4ccs is alot for first fill. But it sounds like you're doing great and probably making wise food choices and the right size portions as well.

Keep up the hard work. best wishes

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
