  1. I had my first fill at five weeks post op and my surgeon told me the first fill really gives you very little restriction. I am experiencing just that. Think I will call for another. My head now can take good control Most of the time but this adjustable band is just for this reason. Call for a fill and don't feel bad. That is why we got the band vs other options. I agree that good food choices are still very important. Good luck to you!
  2. No I started with an empty band. The ban itself has given me decent restriction but eventually my head took over. I can eat a cup of food and be satisfied but should prolly only eat 4oz. So my surgeon injected 4ccs. I have heard on this site about some prep for a fill so I thought for sure I would not be getting one today. I guess my surgeon does not require prep. Lol
  3. i got my first fill today too! congrats on your success so far!
  4. im five weeks post op and saw my surgeon today for a regular post op visit. i have been feeling like im in the green zone these days, but my head is also doing alot of the food choices and restriction, which .... im happy after many years of self sabotage. my surgeon decides to give me my first fill, much to my surprise! all of you who have yet to get one, its not a big deal, pain wise. anxious to see how different things go here in the weeks to come with fluid now in my band.
  5. im 4 weeks post op and noticing every once in a while, major nausea 1-2 hours post meal. those meals i ate slowly, felt satisfied after, waited to drink water etc. am i alone? anyone, anyone?
  6. like internal port pain? i think that is what i have. its not the incision site or anything... well, how young are you? lol i have felt the same way... like i should be good to go, but my body seems to be telling me it is still doing some healing!
  7. you are right.... i feel like i have been banded forever and i should be totally normal now, but i am sure there is some healing still going on. it feels inflamed..... gonna try and take your advise... that and pray work slows down a tad
  8. i am defiantly seeing stress "tighten" my band if that is indeed what i am feeling.... i am 3 weeks post op and when im stressed my stomach feels like week one. its not a good "tight" feeling
  9. i went back to work this week and had 3 12hr shifts.... extremely busy shifts at the hospital. my stomach most the day felt like i did post op week one.... like it is still all inflamed. ugh! i cut out my one cup of coffee that i will have every once in a while thinking that was it... but nope. anyone experience the same? hopefully it gets better. ideally id take some more work off but dont think i can afford to do so ...

  14. i am pretty sure this is the medical follow up to the surgery itself. making sure your incisions are healing well. answering questions you may have about your physical healing in the process. good luck! how are you feeling?
  15. i have my post op appt today as well. how are you all feeling, recovery wise? yesterday i had a growing list for my surgeon, today i am feeling a little better and wonder if a am turning the corner in my recovery?
