So I finally got a tight fill, maybe a little too tight.anyone know how long before out will be comfortable? -I was told by a friend your stomach swells and once that sswelling goes down it will not be so uncomfortable. Having a hard time getting anything down.

I was banded yesterday (12-31). Lots of gas pain but incisions are just sore. No nausea, thank goodness. Just sitting back sipping my various liquids. I explanation to return to work Monday, if all goes well??

I'm set for December 17th! Right now I go from eating really bad, since I won't be able to later, to thinking I should already be trying to shrink my liver. I'm trying to learn everything I can.

December 17th is my bandiversary. Three years post OP. How are you feeling?

Everybody's body is different. I could actually eat solid food after a fill even though I was avised no too. Many times I did do liquids for two days, soft foods the next followed by solid foods. Usually a day or two to answer your question. Good luck.

A question related to eating after a fill and those who can eat whatever after a fill. If a person gets a fill, it is to tighten the upper pouch and block the opening more to the bottom portion of the stomach. Why is it a person can eat whatever? Is it whatever and just smaller portions, or any food and any amount?

I got a tight fill ten days ago. The first four days were rough. I couldn't get much of anything down and trying to get it to stay down was even harder. After the swelling goes down it gets better. I still have a hard time with something's but happy to see weight coming off. However, I became dehydrated due to getting fluids to stay down. For me ice chips worked best for me and sugar free Gatorade. Concentrate on getting fluids and Protein Shakes down. It will be worth it in the end. Good luck. !

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
