I had my first fill last week, I'm at 4.5cc. I'm not losing any weight, have no restriction, and I'm always hungry. I work out 5x/wk.Anyone else having this problem? What am I doing wrong? Help!!!!!!

In case no one answered your reply, I was banded Nov 28 2011 and lost 12 lbs the first 2 weeks. Then nothing for the next 3.5 months. I felt a little restriction with fill #3 and then fill #4 really did it and my weight loss took off. It sucks, you're in "bandster hell" till you start to get restriction. I was pissed off for quite a while because I thought I'd have restriction immediately but of course, I didn't.

It turns out that this is all a good thing. It takes time to learn how to eat right with the band. It took me about 10 months to learn the lessons and I still think I'm learning. Welcome to Denver in advance.

Read my post previous to yours. What you are going through is normal and has happened to most of us. You won't start losing weight until you get a fill that gives you enough restriction to feel satisfied with less food.< /p>

I wasn't able to get the fill due to my employer not releasing me for the day. So here I go scheduled for tomorrow. I am soo excited still not losing just plateaued! I'm trying to not be negative i don't feel as hungry and sometime have to remind myself to eat. With that being said, I still would hope to be losing since my lifestyle is changing. I am definately not the same person mentally and have a new respect for food. I hope this change becomes evident soon! Over all down 25 lbs since 12/9/12..

Hello friends! I haven't been on in awhile, I've been pretty busy! My surgery was 12/12/12 and so far I've lost 38lbs. I had my 2nd fill earlier this week and I'm at 4.4ccs now. I'm working hard at the gym 5-6 days a week (2 days aqua Zumba, 2 days land Zumba + strength training), 1day dedicated strength training, 1day H2O/water calisthenics).

I can cross my legs, I can hold a notepad on my lap & write... and I'm wearing pants that button & zip (I've been in elastic waists for 2+ years)!! There are so many little things that have made this all worth it. I'm averaging 10lbs lost a month & have a ways to go, but, so far so good! So glad I made this life-changing decision!

Got my 2nd fill today and had a major rude awakening! No weightloss!! So I revamped my fridge and definately seeking better choices. I am stumped admitted to my Doc. That I am having a hard time eating 3 meals a Day and am doing 1- 2 meals only. He kinda scoled me but bottom like he said I am maintaing due to my body going into storage mode. I hope this month is better.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
