Question???

Recommended Posts

Every time I get a fill I am told to do liquids for the rest of the day, then mushie for the next day. Does everyone get told the same thing? Why? Just want to get that question out of my head.

Thanks!

I have learned on this forum many different doctors have more opinions that I can keep track of. So it is best to read and learn and maybe ask your dr about something you read on here but ultimatly follow your Dr's advice.

As for the fill order.... my Dr is of the same thought. Liquids for 1 day and mushies for day 2.

My physician has no post-fill restrictions. As with anything - listen to your body.

My dr says the same thing. He says the reason is that your stomach can swell because of the adjustment. I actually add an extra day I there, because I tend to take longer for the swelling to go down.

On my 3rd fill, (I've had 4 now ...yea me) I decided I wasn't gonna follow the Dr.'s orders... I was hungry dangit!! SO I went to subway... I got a 6" veggie sub..on flat bread... (it's a salad on cardboard how bad can it be??) anyway.. I took two bites and it all came back in reverse..

When they do the fill... (per my Dr....) he says that it may cause a slight bit of swelling in the area of the band.. and that you need to give it a day or two to let the swelling reduce before you stress it more.

Or maybe Towanda..(that's my band's name) doesn't like her salad on cardboard.. who knows.. haha!

I can eat normal after a fill too. I usually take it easy and eat something "mushie" just to feel it out. I was too tight once, I knew it immediately.

Who knows? Take it slow, but listen to your body.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
