You can TOTALLY do this! It's a mind-over-matter thing. Just know that your body is getting the nourisment it needs and everything else doesn't matter. The pre-op diet is the first exercise in will power we get to do.

Good luck!

Oh honey I promise there is a light at the end of the tunnel.I went through this last month.By the fourth day it was easier for me it was so hard the first three. It's so important to do this it shrinks your liver and makes it easier for the surgeon to do his job.I heard a horror story of a person not following drs orders

on liquid diet and the doctor had to cut patient open instead pf doing the surgery laproscoptic

I am on day 5 of my pre-op diet but I drink lots of Water when I feel hungry. Its gets better, trust me and my surgery date is October 16th. Also try eating sugar free Jello and ask your nutritionist if you can have Protein Bars. My diet allows me to have 3 shakes and 2 Protein bars or 5 shakes during the day. Good luck !!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
