Hi girls, my last appt is on Oct 10th. Then my paperwork will be submitted for the 2nd time. I had to do the 4 month nutrition all over again. It's been an agonizing 8 months just waiting. Arrrgg! Hopefully this time I'll get approved :/ we might all be having surgery at the same time.

Why did you have 2 do your 4 months all over again? I'm nervous about if I submit it and its denied having to start all over again....

Also does anybody know if instead of making 2 separate doctor visits will the insurance company count my last visit if I just go to the surgeon/dietary consultantion??

My weight on my first appt was 234 and by the 4th month it was 238. Insurance said I obviously did not comply with the weight loss program because I gained weight. If I would have gone below 233 I would have been below the required bmi to qualify and they would have denied me anyway. It's very frustrating, they find any loop hole to get out of paying for it.

Sorry you had to go thru that....I'm really nervous myself on if they are going to approve it or not....I guess I'll just have to wait and see!

Hopefully all of our insurance are quick with approvals! My dr is saying November for surgery!

I'm so nervous about being approved. I have a high bmi but no co-morbidities unless my sleep test tonight shows slight apnea. My aprn says insurance will approve because my bmi is high. I am only 27 so I want to have this surgery before the co-morbids begin to creep up on me!

Who is your insurance with? That sounds so frustrating. Right now I can't lose any without going below 40 BMW. I feel like my whole plan is on pause till my final weigh in.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
