This Friday Is The Day!

Recommended Posts

Well the long awaited day is this Friday. Started this process Nov 2011 and due to getting the covered by insurance, I had a TON of doc appointments and what not to go through. I have been on the Preop diet for a little over a week and I am down 12 pounds already. Also had my last cigarrette today and I am feeling pretty good. I have slipped in the last week with the diet, but nothing terrbile and I am still losing weight. Anyone else having it done this Friday?

I'm this Friday too! I looked into WLS several years ago, but didn't "make up my mind" until December. Here it is almost one year later... and I am soo ready! Best of luck... to us both. Ha.

Everything went well. I went in around 6:30am and was out by 4pm. Been taking it easy the last few days. First 2 days I was pretty sore, but today I am not to bad. Should be back to work in a few days.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
