Would You Do It Again

Recommended Posts

Only thing I would change would to have learned in my youth that exercise and good diet choices would have prevented this.

If you had it to do over would you get the lap band or would you go with something else like the sleeve maybe. I'm doing my research on the lap band I just have so many question like can you feel the band.does it bother you while doing any activitys playing with kids , exercise, sex just any everyday activity. Do you have any regrets??

I have no regrets. Not one! To answer your questions...you cannot feel the band. It is around your stomach. You can feel the port but it's just like a knot under the skin. It won't bother you at all. I am very active with my friends kids and my year old granddaughter. No restrictions....in fact the weight loss has improved my activity level.

Exercise isn't a problem...nor is sex. In fact both efforts are improved. I tell everyone about the band who asks, I am proud to tell people I have finally found the answer to losing and keeping the wait off!!

Best of luck to you

snipped

Most often, as with any WLS it's not the actual tool that fails, but failure to use the tool. A mechanic can have all the greatest tools in the world, but we all know the the tools can't fix the car, unlessthe mechanic puts them to use.

Thank you for all of the info!! I appreciate it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
