Don't Weigh Myself?!?!?!?!?!

Recommended Posts

Thanks guys!! All the feedback is tremendous! I hid my scale and I'm going to weigh myself every Tuesday. I don't think that it necessary to weigh myself everyday if I know I'm following my diet correctly. We will see what Tuesday has to say!

Good for you. I know how much our weight can fluctuate daily, so once a week is a great idea. I go in for my info meeting on Tuesday and I'm anxious! I want to look as good as I feel! Although, die to my weight gain, I don't feel as good as I used to!

Hi! I was banded on 25th July also and so far I have lost 5kgs which is about 11-12 lbs I think?

I am a compulsive weigher... Every morning, after peeing. I weigh myself three times to make sure i get an accurate reading (im a scientist). I am utterly miserable all day if I haven't lost anything.

I'm not looking forward to anyone telling me not to weigh myself each day :( I'm a bit OCD so giving this up will be hard.

I had my surgery on July 23, been following the post op diet and tracking everything that went into my mouth, but I have gained a pound since surgery. I am starting to get frustrated because I didn't get surgery to maintain my weight. I am walking and geting 100 grams of Protein a day and sore as hell, but still no weight loss. When will the weight loss start??? I did lose 16 lbs prior to surgery during the pre-op liquid diet. Maybe I need to give up mushy and go back to just liquid? ?? Help.

Banded on 7/23, I have not weighed myself once. I haven't actually weighed myself in years, because the numbers were scary. I choose not to do it now, because I don't actually know how much weight I have lost post-op. When I went in for my first week post-op check, I had lost 28 pounds since the 16th of July, but I am unsure how much of that was from the pre-op diet, and how much was after surgery.

I'm also a daily weigh-er...every day after I wake up and pee..I'm working nightshift right now, so that can mean in the afternoon or in the morning...that being said, I don't give myself a hard time if I'm up or down by a couple of pounds, as I realize this is normal...It's just my way of remaining accountable for what I put in my mouth...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
