Recommended Posts

Am I alone with these MOOD SWINGS??

One minute I think so positive and feel like this is going to be easeir than I thought. Next minute Im ready to crawl into bed and just cry, feeling tired and kind of sick to my stomach. My muscles have been sore today also, I haven't done anything weird and I have had a lot of Water.< /p>

Only 4 more days!

My 2nd day was the worst! I think its the depervation of food. Kinda like losing a friend. After that I was weirdly calm till surgery

I can kind of understand that. The things I crave are not chocolates and sweets. I have been craving a peach, cottage cheese, string cheese, carrots, grapes, chicken........ cant wait for my mushy food stage! :)

Mood swings, heh. During the liquid stage I had a very short fuse, I was grumbly, depressed and just generally unpleasant. It did pass though, trust me after the surgery, you will be glad for the liquids.< /p>

We all have to mourn our old way of life. We mourn the habit of food. I dont really think its the food itself but the activity. Sure we say "I like the taste of food". Its a habit. I struggled post op for a bit but since Ive learned to eat differently it has stopped. I have no doubt after I have this baby Ill have to go through morning again since I did have to change my diet a bit to have enough nutrition.

You will get through it, and be better for it. YOU CAN DO IT!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
