Hey guys I'm 23 yrs old and I was wondering if there where anyone else close to my age or my age when they got it done. I'm just interested. I'm very very big. I would put my weight on here but still very shocked and embarrassed with it. I've notice that there hasn't been anyone close to weight. Any body out there??

This is a site where size does not matter and yes I know someone your age that had the surgery and was much bigger than you. My son was 536 lbs., 23 years old and had the surgery 5/3/2011 and has lost 135lbs. so far. You are definately not alone in your size or your age. Hey girl, you won't be like that for long after surgery. Please stop beating yourself up about it. We are all here for the same thing that you are. Be proud that you are taking charge of your situation and are doing something about it.

I am only 5 ft. tall and when I started my journey last year I weighed 352lbs, I had some health issues and lost around 40 lbs. last summer. I had my surgery 6/19/2012 and have lost 32lbs.

Be ready for big changes, positive changes and please feel good about yourself for having the courage to go through with this process.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
