I was really worried about losing my hair, too. I took Biotin EVERY day and made sure I had the proper amount of Protein, but my hair still fell out. 3 months after surgery it started falling out by the handfuls and it is just now starting to slow down (it started falling out in March). It sucks, but there's not much we can do about it. At this point, I think I'm more worried about whether or not it will grow back. My doctor has reassured me the hair will come back, and probably be thicker than before.

Right now I'm just wearing my hair in a different style (that hides the fact that it's so thin) and as soon as it is stong enough, I plan on getting extensions. I'm just grateful we have options to mask it!

I lost a lot of hair after surgery. It hit at about 3 mths post-op. My doctor told me I lost a lot of weight too quick, and I had a rough recovery after. They told me to take Biotin, and it has been working awesome. My hair isn't falling out as much, and my hair dresser said she can see new growth coming in. It is pretty cheap. I get the Target brand, it was like $3!

Hope this helps!

I've lost over half my hair. I had really thick hair and a lot of it. The day I was showering and it was coming out in handfuls really worried me. I loose a good amount every day(more than i did prior to banding)I have been banded 8 months. Get in 60-100g Protein a day. Take 10,000mcg Biotin daily, Multivitamins, liquid silica and the loss can't be due to dramatic weight loss because I weigh exactly the same as I did at my first fill appt. Had some blood work ran nothing came up. Just had it drawn to check for autoimmune disease and Iron level. I guess my next thing to do is go to an endocrinologist. In a way I'm glad I'm not the only one but wish it would stop.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
