  1. I asked how my liver looked. And which one of the cute male nurse/ drs saw me naked?
  2. It was two weeks from the time I finished all the required medical visits till I had the surgery. The week I saw the doctor, he said I'd be in for the surgery the next week. The whole process took me two months from the first weigh in to surgery.
  3. Mine was on a Thursday returned to work Monday. Was a little hard leaning over people cleaning their teeth with my pain at port site but did ok otherwise.
  4. I've lost over half my hair. I had really thick hair and a lot of it. The day I was showering and it was coming out in handfuls really worried me. I loose a good amount every day(more than i did prior to banding)I have been banded 8 months. Get in 60-100g protein a day. Take 10,000mcg biotin daily, multivitamins, liquid silica and the loss can't be due to dramatic weight loss because I weigh exactly the same as I did at my first fill appt. Had some blood work ran nothing came up. Just had it drawn to check for autoimmune disease and iron level. I guess my next thing to do is go to an endocrinologist. In a way I'm glad I'm not the only one but wish it would stop.
  5. I broke out too. Thinking it was the large amount of betadine wash they use.
  6. I could see if I had lost a lot of weight but I'm 8 months out and I am 10 lbs down from the day if surgery. Guess we will see what the blood work shows.
  7. I've lost half of my hair. Log 60-100 grams of protein a day. Taking 10,000 mcg biotin and liquid silica. Just had blood drawn few days ago to check for other deficiencies. Trying to not worry but I'd like to have hair when I hit 35.
  8. Dox, are you taking mg or mcg of biotin because I've been on 10 mg since before surgery plus I take a liquid silica.
  9. I myself am 8 months out. Running 3 x a week. Walking or class at the gym the other 4 days. Ran a 5k two weeks ago. Logging my food 800-1,200 calories. And yet I weigh the same from 2 weeks post op. I have 8.2 cc in 14 cc band. I'm loosing my hair even though I get 80-100 g protein a day. Have had numerous blood tests to look for the cause of hair loss, just had it drawn today. I attend support groups and have very supportive people in my life, just hard to not see the scale change. My clothes changed the first few months. The doctor just tells me that I may still not be in the "green zone". I too was self pay. Hoping to see a change soon. Got a fill last week and think maybe I could still get more.
