Hi, everybody! I am five days post op and I am feeling pretty good, except for a rash on my stomach.I have had surgeries before, but I have never broke out like that before. Any suggestions about what I can put on it?

I broke out too. Thinking it was the large amount of betadine wash they use.

I would try Aloe! If you have a plant grab that or just get the pure gel from the store. It is good for everything from burns, rashes, even chicken pox. My husband had a rash skin problem that he got on his legs. The various medications he got at the dermatologist didn't do much, I got fresh aloe cutting off from the plants in the yard, I cut off several pieces at a time putting them in the refrigerator to cool it down.. It finally cleared up the skin that reg medication creams didn't fix and hasn't come back!

I got a rash from the tape used during surgery. I used a topical over the counter cream to help that.

I had a severe allergic reaction to the tape. The doctors at the ER pulled the tape off and gave me cortisone cream.

i used calamine lotion all the time. i never had a general rash but an allergy to the steri strips they used. i probably did have some allergic reaction to the the paint they used but im not sure. i do know that my body came up in welts the size of a twenty cent piece... not nice. i just kept treating them with calamine and they went eventually. i didnt have undue itching with them when they were treated.
