Anyone Preggers Or Been With Lapband?
Hello! I am about 5w1d pregnant. The past few days I have been pretty bloated. With the bloat I am having a lot of discomfort at my port site. Not sure if this normal or not. I can't even imagine when I start getting really big. Has anyone experienced this?

Oops I Wasn't Very Careful...
I am about 8 months post-op. I've lost about 85 pounds so far. I've been so happy and outgoing since the weight loss. With being so outgoing I've had a lot of fun! A few times this month my hubby and I weren't very careful. Needless to say, I'm 10 days until my period and feeling bloated, nausea and moody. I looked back to my calendar and the days we had "too much" fun, were my fertile days. I was definitely done having kids that's why I got Lapband surgery. Has anyone been pregnant post Lapband? I know you can after but was just curious how it all worked. I have had 2 fills with absolutely no restriction. Any advice would be helpful...just in case!

Band Slip Question...
Thanks everyone! I did liquids/soft foods, and I was fine! I think my period was the culprit!

Band Slip Question...
I have been feeling nauseaous lately. I did have a binge episode on Thursday night, and at first I thought I may have just drank too much, but now everytime I eat, I get so nauseaous after. I can still eat and drink, but I am full super fast and then I get naueasous. I was thinking I should do no solids and protein shakes for a day or so, and see how I feel. I have just never felt like this. I also got my period, and since my weight loss, my periods have been intense. Any thoughts? Now I know I shouldn't have binged, I know that, so if anyone has had a band slip or any thoughts on that, I would appreciate that. Thanks!

Is This True?
- Surgery
Everyone has those doubts. When it is all done and over, I knew there was no turning back, and I was determined to make EVERYTHING I went through leading up to surgery was worth it. Good Luck! You will do amazing!- Scales At My Primary Drs Office
I would just pick one and go with it. My WLS office has me 10lbs over what I am at home, but since I weigh myself at home more, they told me to go by that one. So whatever one you use the most, go with that.- Help!!!!
I am in the same boat. I just had a fill 6/20, which brings me up to 5cc, and I got nothing! I have been bouncing between the same 2lbs for about 2 weeks. However, I keep telling myself, "At least I am not gaining!" My insurance changed and my fills which cost $10, are now full price, so my appointment on July 19, will be a hard pill to swallow, but hopefully I can get some restriction and not always be hungry! A few times I just ate whatever I could get my hands on, and I got stuck twice, and the pain was unbelievable! However, it snapped me back into reality, and I try really hard to hit the gym 5 days a week, and stick to the diet. I feel as long as I am not gaining, then I will get through it. I hope this helps!- Is This True?
I lost a lot of hair after surgery. It hit at about 3 mths post-op. My doctor told me I lost a lot of weight too quick, and I had a rough recovery after. They told me to take Biotin, and it has been working awesome. My hair isn't falling out as much, and my hair dresser said she can see new growth coming in. It is pretty cheap. I get the Target brand, it was like $3! Hope this helps!- Newbie Bandster But Pcos Since 1993
I had PCOS as well. I never had a normal period in my life. My cycle varied from 18-91 days! I was put on Clomid to conceive my son, and my daughter just happened to be concieved on a weird ovulation moment! I had my band put on 2/13/12, lost about 70lbs, and I have lost all my PCOS symptoms! My periods are regular without the use of any drugs! I am not on birth control (I had a blood clot), and no IUD. My doctor said that once I started loosing weight my PCOS symptoms would fade or be non-exsistent, and they defintely did! I did the surgery more for my overall health and emotional state, but this was an added bonus! Good luck to you!- Has The Band Actually Worked For You?
1. How long have you been banded? I was banded 2/13/12, so about 4mths 2. How much weight did want to lose? 108 lbs 3. How much weight have you lost? 69 lbs (25 lbs are pre-op weight loss) 4. How happy are you that you have been banded: scale of 1-10 (1 being regretful, 10 being elated) 7- I had a lot of health problems directly after surgery, and it took awhile for the problems to resolve. I did loose 45 lbs after surgery, but I was told that it was all me, since my band was completely empty and tests showed zero restriction. I was finally able to get a fill about 3 weeks ago, but it didn't do anything. I am hoping once I get to a good restriction, I can change my 7 to a 10, since this is getting harder without restriction! - Surgery
