Hi all, I was banded on 3rd June 12, i am now a week into my mushies...poached eggs...fish...mashed potato ect. For the last 2 days I have had a strange feeling when i stand up and walk around, It's asthough I can feel the band inside me and also feel bloated and a bit of pain if I try to pull my stomach in.

I wondered if anyone else has experienced this and if its common???

I'm a little scared that I may have eaten too much, although I use a tea plate for meals. Or is it something that may be 'stuck'.

Any advice would be helpful :) x

I have felt that myself and I am not newly banded. I did notice it seemed to hit more when I stood up vs sitting down.

Double check your Water intake, and you could have some swelling going on.. I notice it more after I get a fill, and it could just be agitated. I have found that it goes away...

then with a fill it can come back for a short time.. follow the diet, get in the fluids but if it is uncomfortable talk to the doctor about it.

I was still on full liquids day 11; stayed on full liquids until day 15. It's possible your personal biology needs more time on liquids. Canned fish was a mushie for me but I did not get that until day 22. Days 15-21 were soft mushies yogurt, low fat/cal cottage or ricotta.

Honk, the foods differ sooooo much! I wish there was just one plan to follow!

Two things papaJohn focuses on now, are "small bites" and "chew-chew-chew" it keeps everything working just fine. Take your time!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
