Are you drinking or eating your required Protein and drinking 64 ounces of Water. That really helps

I have read many threads/responses about how the first fill doesn't really do too much. it's often not until the second or third that some people start to feel restriction. So, don't stress too much, but you're still going to have to "diet" at this point. You can do it! Just eat the way you're supposed to, exercise, and book your next fill appointment now!

Try to get more Water in, just make it a habit to be sipping throughout the day and you will be surprised at how much you drink!

Aim to eat your Protein first followed by vegetables and you will feel fuller more quickly.

Unfortunately it may take several fills before you will feel restriction so you just have to hang in there and keep on working on those healthy habits in the mean time.

i didnt have alot of restriction until my 3rd fill, then it only lasted about 12 days. The tech says that happens sometimes. My 4th and 5th fill didnt change my restriction alot , but i was still loosing weight, just slowly, about 1 lb a week. My Dr was pleased, so was I , but i was still eating too much so i went for a 6th fill recently and finally hit the Green Zone. Im down 42 lbs since Dec 13th, 2011 ! I eat my Protein first , then fruit and veggies, then carbs. I seem to do best with small meals or a snack every 2-3 hrs. i eat alot of Bruce Aidells chicken meatballs, turkey Jerky, hb eggs, Peanut Butter, ground turkey, fish, and some red meat. i keep track on My fitness pal. com. i avoid fast food exxcept for Wendys chili, and the very rare bite or two of a cheesburger and fries. I started a swim fitness class 3x a week last fall. That and walking have made a huge difference with my weight loss. hope this helps ! Good luck and be patient !

I was still hungry after my first fill. I called the doctors office after the first week and went back in and had a touch up fill where he just added a little more Fluid. I've been ok since then.

It took me about 4 fills to really hit my sweet spot. Strict Protein, no snacking, lots of fluids. I lost over 150#. Just had a baby and now working on the 40 I gained. Good luck and if you need to talk just MSG me or you can find me on FB. Melissa Archer Howell

I had my surgery three years ago. It took a bit to hit my "sweet spot" but once there, all was well. I recovered quickly and have had no complications. I lost 130 lbs in one year and have keep the weight off. The biggest struggle is mental!! Keep going, you WILL succeed!!!

I agree it is mental and that is what's so tuff

You may be full but that does not stop the cravings. Once the weight started coming off it was easier I'm so happy I had the surgery I'd do it again in a heartbeat ;)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
