Banded 5.16.2012 And Need A Fill Asap

Recommended Posts

Up until the change to soft food/regular diet (2 weeks ago), I lost a good 10-15lbs, CURRENTLY I'VE GAINED 5 BACK! :-(. I have ZERO restriction, hungry a lot of the time, and can pretty much eat what I want (but I don't). I continue to walk on the treadmill 3x per week, but still gaining weight!

My 1st fill isn't until June 29th, I called to bump up the appointment, unfortunately my doc has no openings!

Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice? Should I go back on liquid diet? Gaining weight is a confidence killer!

Oh, and what Vitamins (if any) are you taking? Recommendations?

I was banded on 5/18. I lost 8 lbs and wasn't hungry until I changed to soft foods now I feel like I'm starving all the time. I go for my first fill on 6/19. I sure hope it helps with my appetite. I'm also struggling with wanting to eat what my family is eating. Certainly when we go out.

Thank you ladies!!!!! I know it's light at the end of the tunnel, and ppl do compliment on how "good" I look, HOWEVER no one knows me like ME and ummmmm I NEED A FILL!!!!!!!

I should not want and/or think about STUFFED CRUST pizza, but I am and it's taking every ounce of strength in me to just keep with my regimen. :-/

Do any of you ladies take Vitamins?

IT'S DEFINITELY NOT FOR NOTHING! I CAN RELATE TO THE WAY YOU ARE FEELING... I DON'T BELIEVE I EXPECTED TO HAVE TO WAIT SO LONG FOR RESTRICTION, THERE'S ENOUGH MENTAL CONFLICT GOIN ON WITHOUT THE HUNGER PAINS! WE CAN DO IT!!! ;-)

If are supposed to be on solids continue to eat solids. If you haven't purchased a food scale do so. If you are not measuring you are guaranteed to be eating too much. I am at restrictions yet still measure all my Protein. Eat 3 ounces of solid protein and then low fat/calorie vegetables until full. Your first fill may not give you restriction, in fact it took me 6 months to get restriction. Again, the band is meant to work with solid food. You cannot survive for ever on liquids. As anyone who lost weight on slimfast will tell you when you go back to solids you will gain weight.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
