What Can You Not Eat?

Recommended Posts

I can no longer eat fast food :o which is good. The meat is too dry, bread gets stuck and its just too heavy. Scrambled eggs and tuna tend to get stuck too. I just have to slow down and chew, chew, chew!

I can pretty much eat anything except for snow peas and if I have a few too many raw baby carrots. I do avoid any steak excpet for filet mignon. Other than that, I have been pretty lucky unless I stuff my pouch and then that's my own darn fault!

I can no longer eat steak, dry chicken, bread products, skin from fruit, scrambled eggs and raw carrots.

It amazes me that I can't eat scrambled eggs. i've tried a few times and it almost always gets stuck. You would think they would be a slider food..

So far:

bread unless well toasted rye (and only 1 slice)

Apples

Sometimes eggs depends on how tight my band is in the mornings

Spinach

Corn on the cob

Rice/pasta

Then there are days I can eat something and try it again the next day and no matter what it will not go down so frustrating. Just a part of lerning to live with the band.

sometimes eggs go down a little slow. But the last 2 days I have mixed 2 eggs with 1 T light mayo for egg salad and it goes down really easy. Just a suggestion!

Raw baby carrot (regular carrot sliced is fine. I guess just don't chew it well enough) and cheap doughy white bread (other bread is fine.)

Until this last fill, I could eat everything....Now, I can not eat Pizza Crust (no matter how thin it is) and hamburger :( I really had a bad stuck experience with meatloaf last week.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
