Tricare Prime South Approval..........but Madatory 1 Overnight Stay?

Recommended Posts

Anyone ever heard of this? Lapband procedures are usually done as a same day surgery. But my insurance wants me to stay overnight.

Plenty of people stay overnight. It depends on your surgeon and your hospital. Mine was overnight and I was very pleased to have the pain relief, oxygen and assistance of the nursing staff!

I am also TriCare. Overnight was required for me and I am very glad it was. I was able to sleep, not only because I was comfortable, but because I didn't have to worry about possible problems during the night.

That is funny, I am also Tricare and I was in and out! Funny how it is different! I am tricare prime remote (Alaska), so we are part of Tricare West.

I m self pay in the DC metro area and I have to stay overnite, despite my attempts to convince the doc that I don't need to. My doc makes u do a swallow test and an X-ray the next morning to make sure all is well

My surgeon told me that I would be staying overnight too! However, I think it's his personal preference, not an insurance requirement.

I stayed overnight too - doesn't hurt! My doctor said it's good in order to avoid any complications!

I have Tricare Prime South and I was required an overnight stay. I also got a surprise bill from them as well. Tricare did NOT cover the whole procedure. I owe over $4 thousand and wasn't expecting it either a bill either.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
