Missed Slippage?

Recommended Posts

Is it possible that a MD would miss a band slippage on a barrium swallow? Acid reflux was seen on my barium swallow but my MD didnt seemed to concerned. I was changed from taking nexium once a day to twice a day and I am still having bad reflux. I admit that when I have issues I tend to go for liquid foods ( ie: ice cream) and even today I had issues with ice cream. I have a constant burn right where my band is. So irritated and upset about this. Any suggestions?

You said an MD, is this MD also a bariatric surgeon who performs Lap-Band surgery? If not, then yes, there's a good chance he'd miss a minor slip if there was one. If he wasn't a bariatric surgeon, then I would definitely get into one for a check.

If your band slipped you would be puking your guts out. You're probably too tight go get an unfill you will feel better

I have a constant burn right where my band is.

I haven't had anything done to my band recently, but I've noticed this as well. It's not constant, but I do notice it from time to time. Feels like heartburn, only lower down than where you'd think heartburn would be. I'm thinking of going to get my band unfilled to see if there's anything left in it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
