I don't have a lot of information and you may have seen some of her posts recently where she talked about some of her serious complications.

Shirley was a wonderful friend and very supportive. She was a very active member on this site and helped me so much in my journey.

She is now up in heaven looking down on us...

Such sad news, i really enjoyed her posts. My thoughts are with her family and friends.

May justice reign hard on that hospital for all the delays.

I am scheduled to have mine May16th and of course I am scared to death now!!

I am so sorry to hear this! She was always ready to tell you exactly what she thought, good or bad - I appreciated that! I pray that Shirley's family can find peace during this very difficult time!!

So sad, at least she is in heaven and no pain now.... :(

It was more than just a slip, from what she said there was also a cut or tear to her esophagus from the slip, (she was in one of our facebook groups) said she was coughing up blood, also that she had died on the table and they brought her back, I can not imagine them sending her home after that. But what ever happened it took her life. She will be so very missed, I know for me the lesson is if I ever feel something is not right I will be beating down the surgeons door! We all miss her so much!!
