First Fill, Now At 4Cc's And Doing Well...i Guess?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys! I had my first fill Fri the 6th by a different doc than performed surgery. I had 2 cc's put in during surgery, which I guess explains the bread getting stuck issue from the get go. She added 2 more cc's Fri for a total of 4. I do notice getting full on smaller portions (protein always first) and I can eat a cup to a cup and a half? Does that seem right? I've heard some ppl get full on a few bites.

I haven't got a ton of info on nutrition besides Protein first, if still hungry then veggies/fruits, and LAST carbs/starches. I rarely make it past the protein. If so, maybe 3 bites of a side dish.

I do seem to get full sooner, but am hungry more often...say every 3 hrs. Usually I swig some Water or Crystal Light and it goes away for a while. I'd like to go a little longer between meals, maybe on the next fill. I also serm tighter in the morn, replacing Breakfast with a proteon shake. Usually half abt 8, and the other 1/2 a couple hrs later. So...does this seem fairly normal (whatever that is...lol)? I don't have anyone to compare to, so I was hoping for a little feedback here. Thanks!

You sound like you are right on track! With a bit more restriction you will be able to go for longer periods without being hungry. I used to drink lots of Water to get me through the hungry periods. I rarely get hungry these days. I eat to get my Protein in!

I have had 4 fills, and am finally feeling good restriction. Your stomach/body needs time to adjust to the fill, some people dont feel any restriction until 5 or 6 fills, so if you are feeling some restriction after just one, you may be right where u want to be. The hunger will start to go away in time as well. Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
