Refresher Course - netiquette

Good post, Jill. :clap2:

Also a reminder to everyone - if you want a thread to die, DON'T POST TO IT.

Seriously. Eventually it will fall off the charts. But posting to a thread saying "Why won't this thread die???" just brings it back to life.

:(

Kind of like saying my thumb hurts! And then hitting it with the hammer again... LOL

Oh, I KNOW it's hard. It's that old compulsion kind of thing.:)

Thanks for posting this, Jill. I never got a chance to respond to my own other thread before it was closed (which I totally understand -- it was getting out of control). But what I did want to say to people is this (using the generic "you" here, not pointing fingers at anyone):

How do you all get on IRL? Aren't there people you don't much care for or outright can't stand? Do you go out of your way to bait them, or do you just avoid them and ignore what they say? Hopefully it's the latter, not the former. Would you really go up to someone you didn't like IRL and tell them you don't like them and be critical of their demeanor, their grammer, their entire presence? I hope not!

If there's someone you don't like on the boards, or someone says something you don't particularly agree with, can't you choose sometimes (preferably most times or at all times) to just ignore it?

Personally, I believe everyone is being rather touchy lately, and things are getting out of control. Stop judging others, stop being critical of others, ignore the outlandish, freakish, or plain rude posts, and just be here to educate and support others!

<stepping off my soapbox now>

Great post jill, and I gotta tell you. There is something very empowering about the ignore list. LOL Just knowing that I can shut out someone not adhering to the rules listed here makes my blood pressure go down lol

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
