18 lb bag of dog food

Recommended Posts

Alright, so this isn't the first time I have posted that I'm seriously sad that I haven't lost more weight. It's been almost four months and I'm down 20 pounds. I've had two fills and am going in for my third next Friday. Thank goodness.

But- I had something very interesting happen today. I bought a big bag of dog food this time- the 18 lb size...and as I was carrying it up the stairs I thought...geez...this makes it a lot harder to walk up these stairs. Then it hit me- this is what it felt like four months ago to walk up the stairs.

So now I'm not as sad...I'm so grateful for even 20 lbs. Even at 288 lbs I can run up and down the stairs again. It really is amazing at what even a modest 20 lb loss can do for a person.

I know this next fill will be great- I'm so close to being at the sweet spot I can just feel it (or is that a peice of broccoli stuck?? :-)).

Hi Megan -

Congrats on the 20 pounds gone, and putting it into perspective!

I'm crossing my fingers for you on your latest fill. Hang in there, girl!

 Megan

So cool:cool:

Just this morning I stepped on the scale...I'm at the same weight as last week, 42 lbs down. My sig-other says "you lost our son's total weight" I looked at him and smiled.

Sounds like you have a new excersize routine. LOL

I hope your next fill kicks in for you!

Keep smiling:D

Megan,

I can totally agree. About two weeks ago I bought the 40lb bag of Iams and had to drag it up from the garage...good Lord! I'm down 38lbs right now...amazing isn't it...how did I fit that bag of dog food into these pants I'm wearing?

I totally agree with all that is said here. I also wanted to say that I now don't care anymore what "they" say about my weight..

"they" , being my mom and others that used to say I was fat when I was only 155 lbs. I am doing this for myself and most importantly my health. I really don't care what others think now anymore

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
