At 6-12 Months Post-Band - Rate Of Loss?

Recommended Posts

Haven't been on in a while but I was wondering what kind of rate of loss you guys were seeing from the date of your surgery til 6-12 months out. I'm doing the math and I'm only down 6.1 lbs/ month for my first 9 months post-surgery (though it is going faster now than ever). I'm probably up to 10 lbs. per month now but I'm far off of the 9-15 lbs./ month I was hoping to lose with the band.

82 pounds in 9 months is great! I lost 92 the first 9 months including 15 I lost pre-op. Sounds like you're right on track.

I'm down 83 pounds in 12 months, so I averaged 6.9 pounds per month. Today I go for my 1 year check up and I am soooo excited to be getting a fill today!

I am down 72 pounds in 11 months. My rate has been slower because I haven't been exercising regularly until recently and I wasn't careful about my food, but I'm still chugging along at the rate of about 5-6 pounds per month. Slow and steady wins the race, after all!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
