The Lap Band Really Works!!!!

Recommended Posts

I am so excited and thought I would share...down 23 pounds in 20 days!!! I was banded on Nov. 22nd, and didn't have to do a pre-op diet. My surgeon said he was very impressed with my progress!

I have one more week of soft foods, then transition back to regular foods. A little worried...hoping I will continue to be able to lose at this rate.

It is unlikely that you will continue to lose at this rate, that would be unrealistic and unhealthy. It is natural for your weight loss to slow down and when it does you shouldn't get depressed or despondent. What you are having now is a head start or boost. Normal weight loss should be 1 - 2lb per week. You may sometimes lose more than that but you shouldn't expect to on a regular basis.

Congrats on your weight lost so far.

Congrats on your progress and don't even worry about it you got a head start and all you have to do is follow a good healthy diet make sure you get plenty of Protein and lots of Water andeven if you slow down that fine like the above post says 1 to 2 pounds a week is best if you lose a lot to soon it may mean your starving your body and only bad things come from that like the Hair loss people talk about so just stay the course and be good to yourself and the scale will keep going down and thats all that matters the direction not the speed :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
