I'm 6 weeks post op as of yesterday, have lost 28 lbs total and today just for 'kicks & giggles' I took a pregnancy test and it was positive!!

We only had sex once since surgery, and I have always had fertility problems. I used ovulation sticks, charting, daily temps for 2 yrs to get pregnant with my daughter and now i'm going to have an Ooops baby!

Wow, I would have never guessed this would happen so quickly. I don't even have any fills in my band yet.

Is it too selfish to want to continue losing weight while being preggo?? Its alot to take in!!

My surgeon made it very clear to me that getting pregnant within the first year of having the band was a definite no no so I would have to guess that you should speak with your doctor about the concept of the band with pregnancy. In general, it is not recommended to actively try to lose weight while pregnant. I would certainly say dont get any fills.

Pre-band (like 18 years pre-band), I lost 23-25kg while pregnant with my second son - under dr supervision. Son was a very healthy baby. Just work closely with your dr.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
