Sometimes, but not really. It doesn't hit that "full" trigger for me. It DOES help me realize that I'm not really hungry, just thirsty.

nope, doesn't give me the full feeling either. But.... if I feel the need to munch on something It will help curb that some.

I get full when I drink but not because of the band, I think. The great thing is that I am not allowed to eat within a half hour of drinking so if I'm feeling hungry, I drink some Water. Then when my 30 minute timer goes off signaling I can eat, I'm usually not hungry. That has helped me so much with figuring out if I am physically hungry or head hungry. I have no fill too so it's really made a difference in keeping me on track.

yes and no, lol that is such a complicated question.

For me it depends on where I am at restriction wise. If I am really tight then Water fills me up short term.

If I am not really tight then it runs right through and does nothing.

If I am drinking something of substance though like a latte made of all milk.....that satisfies my hunger for a while.

Different drinks make me feel differently when I have them.

A cold coffee or a drink like milkshake or something thick ( ie Protein shake) I am full for a while.

Water, I use to help curb my cravings ( ie sweets) like the person said above because we can't eat until 30 minutes after drinking, when I am craving something or think I am hungry I drink Water and wait to see how I feel. This really helps with my sweet tooth.

Carbonated drinks, help me when I am head hungry. The carbonation makes me feel full and bloated and then I have no desire to eat.

Alcoholic drinks, don't make me feel hungry or full but do cause me to graze while eating ( Koreans serve food and drink together, maybe why they can drink so much)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
