June Journeys 09?

Recommended Posts

I miss connecting with people who were banded with me--it's a tenuous connection, but still a connection. :) Yesterday was my two-year bandiversary. I remember how scared I was--of the surgery and also of the possibility of failing once again at losing weight. It's been an up and down journey, but I'm happy that I decided to take this trip. It has changed my life. How's it going for the rest of you? Happy bandiversary this month to all of you! :)

I was going to post on the thread the other day but couldn't find it. I was also wondering how everyone was doing. It seems very few of the people that were part of our group are still actively posting. That may mean that for them the band is now a minor part of their lives and they are just busy getting on with life. Lets hope that most have been successful and that noone has encountered any serious problems yet.

I have been at goal weight for a while and am maintaining without any major problems. That is in spite of eating far more junk than I should have done in the last month as I have been stuck at home , recuperating from a hysterectomy. I am also going to credit that for my latest 2kg loss. I know a uterus doesn't weigh that much but I have no other explanation as to why my weight would suddenly have dropped. It's not like i have been for a fill or exercising or anything. I haven't been allowed to.

If you want to friend me on FB fine (just don't mention the band publicly as a lot of my friends don't know or have bands and don't want others to know). user name lynn defoe

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
