What do you do to satisfy your "head hunger"?

Recommended Posts

I know that the best advice is to do something to occupy yourself, so when you get in "munchie mode" when your not hungry what do you do?

Sex (preferably with a partner)

Haaaaaaaa just kidding..... I keep myself busy with the computer or my DD. I'll get up and clean something.

I have a glass of ice cold Water, it not only makes my band too tight to actually eat any junk food but sometimes it fools my body into beliving that I have snacked. ~Mandy

When I get it and it's not that bad I just try and do something to take my mind off of it. If my mind wont stray like I want it too I make a pot of coffee and suck it down. (My doctor has no issues with coffee).

I try to distract myself. If that doesn't work, I drink Water. If that doesn't work, I figure I better have a little of it. Otherwise, I'll do some other crazy thing like eat way too much the next time I eat or something...I'm weird.

I drown it with coffee too if it really wont go away, otherwise I just go and do something else, shopping being a fave, lol.

Interestingly I've had very little head hunger since banding becuase I'm just so "not hungry" all the time. I've had one or two very tiny pieces of chocolate when it's going round because I wanted to and the Christmas cake is still calling me from the pantry but I really havent suffered from it like I used to.

If I really get a craving for something though, I would have it have it - but I havent had that since banding. Whatever works for each of us but for me carrot sticks just cannot be substituted for chocolate!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
