Protein Shake Ice Cream???

Recommended Posts

Wondering if anyone out there has ever tried putting a Protein Shake through an ice cream maker. Did it work? I have a severe weakness for ice cream, but I wish there weren't so many calories and so few grams of protein!!

Thanks!!

No, I put frozen yogurt in the blender with the mix and it tastes like a milkshake!

Not really the answer you were looking for but a thought. The last time I lost a large amount of weight I experimented with making my own frozen yoghurt. I have one of those small ice cream makers. Keep in mind this was years before Greek Yoghurt. In order to make the yoghurt thicker I would strain it through a cheese cloth. Now with Greek yoghurt you would'nt need to do that. You might consider buying Fat Free vanilla Greek yoghurt and adding in splendra (greek yoghurt is super sour!). It would be high in Protein. You could also add in additional Protein powder.

Another thought. I make Protein shakes as follows: 2 milk cubes (fat free milk frozen into ice cubes), 2/3 cup fat free milk, couple ice cubes, Protein Powder, suger/fat free pudding powder, Davinchi suger free syrups (found coffee isle); splendra. You can also add 1/3 frozen fruit. Mix in Hamilton Beach personal blender. Very much like a "frappe" (ice cream based milkshake)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
