SOMETHING WRONG???

Recommended Posts

I was also banded on Monday.. and to be honest ~ I LOVE shrimp!!!! BUT............ having been banded only a few days ago.... I'm even MORE scared of not being able to swallow it or chocking on it.

Lots of good advice for you posted here.

Do the best as you can and follow your doctor's orders.

I know there will be hard days ahead....

and I do thank God my husband loves to cook for himself ~ So I can avoid the kitchen. :-)

The only restriction you have right now is any swelling that the banding may have caused. So technically you could take anything in. Part of the post op diet is to help you to heal and to help you keep on a restricted diet until your fills. Good luck and I wouldn't worry about the shrimp, that went right through into the belly. IT is normal, I could have eaten five shrimp if they let me.

Please listen to these people they are only trying to help you. Listen to your Dr first always if you are confused call them. Even on the weekends most Drs will return weekend calls. Mine does. If you are already breaking the rules after 4 days what lies ahead for you? Come on you went through all this just give it a month and it will get so much easier and be worth it! I for one am cheering you on, you can do this!! Start over now, the few days early you start another stage might cause you trouble. Go slow and follow the rules!!

Whether the shrimp will go through does not matter you are not suppose to do it for a reason. liquid is Liquid!! Shrimp is meat!!

They make vegetable stock! It's only a few days out of your life, you will be back to normal food soon.

You don't have restriction thats why you can eat things.. but you aren't supposed to! That is why we have guidelines.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
