NSV ~ Yay!!!

Recommended Posts

I am so excited, I just got off the phone with my primary care physician. November 2009 I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, with an A1C of 7.4 ~ which gave me a slap of reality and triggered my weight loss journey. I was banded 10/21 and have lost a total of 62 lbs since 11/09 (30 lbs. post-op)... my latest A1C is 5.6!! He said I no longer have to take medication for Diabetes. :bananajump: This is in edition to my two other nsv's of having to buy all new winter clothes because nothing from last year fits and being able to cross my legs comfortably. :P

This really reassures me that I made the right decision getting my band.

Awesome Job, Way to go! Being diabetic myself this is something I'm really looking forward to. This gives me one more reason to get my band. Congratulations, again!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
