  1. Aww, thanks, hon! Do you have one?
  2. Sex life is pretty much just as disappointing as it was before!
  3. Don't know how many people from the DFW area there are on here, but a few of my blogger friends and I are having a brunch July 24th at 1:00 pm in the area. Anyone interested just send me a message and I'll give you the information! Should be tons of fun.
  4. Looking for other bandsters in the DFW area around my age (24) who need a workout buddy or just a new friend who understands what they're going through. Male, female, newly banded, already at goal, doesn't matter. I'm 6 months out, 55 lbs down, and looking for new friends.
  5. Seconded. Definitely not normal for a surgeon to just ignore this classic sign of overfill. Hope you feel better!
  6. At my doctor's office they did fasting blood work, went over the procedure in great detail, did a pulmonary test, and an EKG. Sounds like your doctor is pretty hands on if it'll take you that long.
  7. Looks like you need to update your ticker! Great job on the weight loss and definitely the NSV!!

  21. My mom was banded in 2007 by Dr. Frank Felts and hasn't gone in for a fill in about a year, but when she went back to True Results AfterCare (since she didn't feel comfortable going to Dr. Felts' new office in The Colony, even though he was her surgeon), they turned her away. For two different reasons: 1.) Dr. Felts isn't practicing at the Surgery Center of Richardson anymore. 2.) No doctors want to assume liability for one of his patients, because of Dr. Felts' high occurrence of post-operative complications. Dr. Felts DOES NOT follow-up OR do his due-diligence by educating his patients. This is something to think about when considering Dr. Felts as an option for a LapBand surgeon. Is someone who isn't backed up by his peers someone you want performing your surgery?

  23. From what he said, it was more, he's heard bad things about WLS, but he was thinking I was getting gastric bypass. Once I told him about lapband that put his mind at easy to where now he's completely supportive. I agree it probably was too much too soon, though. I was thinking I should have approached it in a different way than I did though. Too late to take it back now, though.
  24. It'd be kind of hard to explain why I wouldn't be able to see him for 2 weeks or so. So that's why I chose to, Elfie. Plus, I actually like the guy, having a secret banded life just isn't for everyone, I suppose.
  25. Wow, he sounds like a winner. That's my biggest fear, going out with someone and have them say something negative about weight loss surgery. I actually talked to the guy again tonight after telling him around midmorning... he had talked to a mutual friend and he said that helped to put things in perspective for him. He said he was just kind of blown away by the information. We've only been dating a very short time... it was alot to process for him, I suppose. Not sure if it's going to end up being a good thing or a bad thing, but we made another date for Sunday night. We'll see how it goes.
