No, I've only had my first fill! The second one is this week on Thursday and I'm hoping I'll feel some restriction.

I'm feeling pretty positive. Maybe all that exercise is going to my brain and it really does help your mood after all. Heh. I'm not finding eating well very hard and I do allow myself treats now and then. And I could fit into some pants that were waaayyy too tight last summer, so that helps too!

I'm going on a beach vacation to Aruba at the end of the month and I'm hoping to lose another ten by then too.

Hey Novembers!

I was banded on November 17! Its great to read all of your stories and see your progress :) thanks for posting!!

I had surgery on the 17th of Nov. Fill this past Wednesday the 15th of Dec. I was out of control the last week up to the fill appt. I was hungry, snacking, eating more than I thought I should but feeling no 'fullness'.

Same thing after the fill, got total of 2ccs in my 10 cc band.

Then Saturday, I started to feel the 'fullness'. I ate the top off of one pizza and nibbled on the crust and was STUFFED. Sunday, same thing. Put 1/3 the usual amount of lasagna on my plate, ate a little over half and was stuffed. Yay! Love that!

Looking to loose some weight and get into the 200 range by next fill.

Hope you all are doing well!

I had my first fill yesterday, 5.5 cc's (3.5 at installation) in a 14 cc band. I was told to do liquids for 2 days before real food. Without thinking, I had a bowl of chili a few hours later! LOL I realized halfway through, but since it was going down OK, I finished.

I can feel restriction, sort of like after surgery. I had normal needle pain after the lidocain wore off. The biggest difference is that I had left shoulder pain later in the evening! Hmmm. I never had that after surgery, so I'm wondering if it was from being walked by our dog or if it's from the fill. I guess I'll have to wait until the next fill.

I had my first fill on the 6th, and I felt more gas pain after my fill than I did with the actual surgery! I knew after that what the shoulder pain everyone was talking about. I was not prepared for that. But it wore off after a few days and I was fine.

Hello folks! My name is Sandy and I was banded on Nov 11th, 2010..just finally making my way in to this forum. So as of tomorrow I am 2 mnths post op and have had 2 fills so far. I am at 8cc's . total weight lost so far from the liquid pre op diet to today..is 23 lbs. 16 lbs of that is from the pre op diet..so 7 lbs lost in 2 mnths ? I am feeling a little bummed about it. I know it takes time and I probaly shouldnt be feeling this way maybe..perhaps I am just to overly anxious to see the weight coming off better. Seems after the adjustments the first week after I dont lose anything...I had my 2nd fill on Jan 4th and have not lost anything at all so far since it. I havent gained either though so...I dont know...same happened after the 1st fill..didnt lose anything for the first week and a half..then all of a sudden I dropped 3 lbs like in 2 days prior to my next fill apaointment. Is anyone else finding the same to be true for themselves? Anyone struggling to lose? Am I being over anxious ? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated !

Hey Sandy, welcome!! I was banded on the same day as you! I can't believe it will be 2 months tomorrow! It flew by so fast!! But the struggles continue!! I ahve only had 1 fill and have 2 cc's. It has done nothing for me! I go in for my next fill next week, so I hope I feel restiriction after this one. The holidays got me so twisted, and I am finally back on track! Glad to have you aboard!!

Hiya Topazz ! And grats on your banding ! Its nice to meet someone banded same day as me ! I know we are all going to look back on our frustrations and smile and remember when...as we all are going thru our changes and losing and learning! Thanks for your reply and keep up the fantastic journey! I'm trying to not be discouraged or frustrated and anxious..I know its going to come off..but I see some who have lost more than me is less time so far and makes me go hmmmmm?! Lol !

Hey Sandy,

I was banded the day before you, and I feel like Im right there with you. I've got 1 fill and it was 5cc's and Ive only lost 14lbs in 2 months. It is very frustrating, but when I look at it honestly, Im not doing all i could to utilize my band. My life has been in limbo since we've moved cross country, and Im not in a good eating routine, and honest exercise is slim to none (I blame the 5 degree weather outside). I really need to start focusing on me and my band at this point, and then if after exercising and eating right if Im still not losing I'll go for a 2nd fill.

I'm on the same boat as u Sandy. I've been stuck @ 9 pounds dropped and nothing more. I'm bummed as well...I go back to the doc in February and I'm hoping to have my first fill then. Good luck to u all!!!!

I'm a November Bandster as well, and i'm down 15 since surgery and 22 since pre-op. Not bad but not fantastic either.

Hoping to hit that sweet spot, sooner or later.

Hey everyone, I lost another ten pounds this much so the doc is happy with me. I had my second fill today. I'm feeling very positive and happy about everything. Except the PA told me not to eat Lean Cuisines for lunch because they're too "slide-y" with the sauces and gravies. Damn. I like the ease and portion control. I still might eat them sometimes. I'll see how it goes.

Keep up the good work, everyone!

I was banded on November 18th, 2010 (one week before Thanksgiving!!). My doctor says I'm doing great although I feel like I could be doing better. I lost 25lbs before being banded and since being banded have lost another 20lbs or so. I had my 1st fill on January 3rd and haven't really felt much of a difference with restriction which they say is to be expected. Although I know I am eating less I for some reason thought I would be eating a LOT LESS. To be 100% honest the timing of my surgery came along with a few other layers of REALLY STRESSFUL stuff and my appetite has diminished on certain days. My #1 problem is NIGHT EATING. I have sleep apnea and I'm not wearing my mask (someone slap me), therefore I'm getting up a few times a night and each time I wake up I feel like I need to get up and eat. Last night for instance I got up and had a sugar free pudding and then woke up again and had a granola bar and glass of milk. The night before I was eating fat free fig newtons and I must have had at least 5 of them. I've even debated taking Ativan before bed to help myself sleep through the night if only it didn't make me feel like such a zombie the next morning.I'm not going to be discouraged. I started going to the gym this week and boy are my muscles aching..in a good way. I don't recommend sit ups I feel like someone kicked me in the stomach repeatedly. My 2nd fill is going to be on February 4th and I'm hoping I start to feel more restriction :)
