Sorry that's a bit strange. You could've hit goal or been close to your goal by now.

That's awesome.... I've been averaging 2-3lbs a month. I expected more like 5-6 lbs a month. Trying to find how I can shock my system to average that weight loss.. i have 45-50 lbs more to go.. at this rate I won't see it completely off until Spring 2013. I'd like to reach that goal at least by January.

Hey November 2010 bandsters just checking in. I've been doing good so far, my fitness level has improved markedly. I'm now running/walking 5K's and have completed a Team Fitness class at my gym. I believe the fact that i'm burning more calories is driving my weight loss down. However, i've been at a plateau for about 2 months. Seems like every 10 lbs lost there's a 2-3 month plateau, it's frustrating.. Has anyone figured out how to break it? I don't think I need a fill because it takes very little for me to get full.

Well you have company here. I haven't been as dedicated to working out like i was this Spring and early Summer. I've been stalled at a 53lb loss. A friend of mine had a really good point. I told her i really didn't start getting restriction until March 2011, so she suggested perhaps by March 2012 you'll hit your goal. So that's how i'm seeing things.

I agree with you Deb. Yes it's slow moving but progress is still progress nonetheless and that's what we need to hold on to. Like you, i'm finding that everything I've learned about living with LapBand is being put into practice within the last 2 months. I eat slower, take smaller bites and try my best not to drink with meals. I know my trigger foods that will make me stuck (bye bye Buffalo Wings and Texas Toast!).

Seems like a lot of us banded on 11/2010 are experiencing slow weight loss. I'm at that point too... I'm about 6 lbs from being under 200 lbs. I haven't been under 200 since the early 1990's. I myself I plan on hitting the gym pretty hard for the remainder of the year. I just have a goal of looking really spectacular for the holidays. Let's starting moving y'all!!

I definitely applaud you...seems like you've been 100% on plan since Day 1, that's great weight loss you are seeing. I do agree that when you incorporate exercise in the mix it speeds up the loss. I hope to hit under 200 by my birthday (August).- November 2010 Bandsters - post op
So most of us have been banded for 6 months now.. i hit my 6 month "surger-versary" on 5/22. From what other bandsters are saying, from the 6 month period on they will see more rapid weight loss. Has anyone seen this yet?- ABS - 6 PACK???
I started working out 2 days after surgery.... (treadmill)...i'm in a boot camp-like weight loss fitness program at my gym...i started 5 months pre-op. Go for it!- November 2010 Bandsters - post op
Don't worry about it... I will admit i've been a lazy, hibernating bum this winter. I'm about to get on this 12-week exercising program at my gym, so i should be seeing some good results. But we all are where we are supposed to be. I just got good restriction just this month. Prior to my last fill, i was eating regular and feeling hungry.- November 2010 Bandsters - post op
That's amazing! You must have been hitting the exercise hard core!!! That's crazy! Did you get restriction early on?- Sports Bra
Understood... i just find that the sports bras you can try on in the stores are not as good quality as the mail order ones.- Sports Bra
I purchased an Enell Sports Bra. It's known as THE BEST sports bra around. It gives maximum hold, especially if you are large chested. I got mine from Herroom. com http://www.herroom.com/Search2.aspx?terms=Ene001-100&new=yes- November 2010 Bandsters - post op
Awesome! i'm happy that you are doing very well.- BEVERAGES
I agree. Have you tried the Snapple Diet Trop a Rocka.. the one from Bret Michaels- November 2010 Bandsters - post op
Do you find that you are losing muscle mass as well? Only eating once a day? Wow. I don't have the restriction that some you fast losers have (40 lbs + since 11/10 surgery). I'm able to have 2-3 meals a day... small meals not heavy meals. I'm not losing muscle mass, which is something I don't want, because I don't want hanging skin.- November 2010 Bandsters - post op
Hey JaGo, i'm in the 11/22/10 group. You are doing well! I haven't good restriction i would say until my last fill about 2 weeks ago. Before that, very little restriction, so my loss has been slow. Along with not having a regular exercise plan and making not good choices most of the time. But it's a learning process.- Where are my fellow November 2010 bandsters????
Don't fret! Seems like we are in the same boat! I haven't had a good fill until 2 weeks ago... I think i'm at a sweet spot now, but I really didn't feel any type of restriction until a few weeks ago. So my weight loss has been slower than average.- Where are my fellow November 2010 bandsters????
You are doing FANTASTIC....i can honestly say my diet hasn't been the best, but my weight loss is slow and steady. - November 2010 Bandsters - post op
