  1. It's my one year bandaversary! 82 pounds lost and a whole lot of knowledge gained. I'm glad I did it, but it's been a long learning curve for me. I'm slightly disappointed I haven't lost more, but that's the way it is, I guess. I've struggled with a lot of things this year: problems with my two teenage kids, money issues, career issues, and most of all my chronic bad health. So to lose this much is a win.
  2. How is everyone doing? I would like to find a water aerobics class as well. I have fibromyalgia as well as chronic fatigue syndrome. I guess it's been 2.5 weeks since I've last posted and I've lost another 3 pounds. I'm just impatient!
  3. Hi Topazz, I have an appt with Dr Geiss's office on Thursday. I have been struggling with too-loose and too-tight bands. I can't seem to fnd my sweet spot. I should probably go to a support group but I just have so little time and energy. And I really dislike eating slowly and in tiny pieces, so that's been hard for me too, but I'm getting better about it! I just need to keep going. I'm just disappointed because I thought I'd've lost more weight by now. But hell, let's kick some butt, November bandsters!
  4. Hi guys! Let's support one another! My weight loss has been stuck for four months and I find it depressing and shameful. I haven't been back here because I've thought that everyone else would be sporting 100+ losses and it would depress me.
  5. Hi everyone! I haven't been exercising because I've been ill so much--first I had a three-week migraine and now I've got the flu. Blecch. Also, I'm still not at good restriction--really hungry a lot of the time, though I do get food stuck, because I am an idiot who cannot ever remember not to wolf my food down. Still, weight loss is continuing, though not as quickly as it should be, I think.
  6. I have fibromyalgia and my doctor suggested Lyrica to me today. She also said it may cause weight gain. Oh, HELL NO! I'll try it, but the minute my weight loss slows, I'm off it. Has anyone here had any experience with Lyrica?
  7. You guys are doing great! WOOHOO us! Lashonda, I too want to get to 195 or so...sometimes it seems like it's so far away. My goal is no more double chin by my birthday, April 7. I don't know if I can do it!
  8. I know. I've gotten some comments on looking smaller, but I wonder if they are just being supportive. I just want my doublt chin gone by my birthday (4/7). We shall see!
  9. How's everyone doing? I too got very busy and went away to Aruba for a week (where I ate and drank like there was no tomorrow--the mango/passionfruit daiquiris with meyer's dark rum? HEAVEN), but I'm back on track now.
  10. Topazz, I don't think they'll put more than 2ccs in at a time, though you can always ask. I've had a few episodes of that old "so hungry, cannot get full" feeling after my first fill. I'm hoping that will go away forever now that I've had my second fill. If it doesn't....hey. That's why we chose the adjustable band, isn't it? I know what you mean, NYY, about wanting to see a big jump. All of my friends are all 40 pounds! That's great! and I'm thinking I'M STILL REALLY FAT. I can be crabby and negative about anything if I want. Mostly I'm really happy though. I hope everyone's doing well! We can do this, folks!
  11. WEAR YOUR MASK, JULES! WEAR IT! It's VERY important for your health and also, by the way, for your weight! You work so hard to lose all day and then you don't wear the mask at night? You're sabotaging yourself! You can't diet and exercise without being as well-rested as you can! I know it's hard and sometimes it sucks. I've been diagnosed with severe apnea for five years and sometimes I still cannot stand that damn mask. But I gotta wear it. No choice. Now come on! WEAR IT!
  12. Just walk every day. Anything is better than nothing. You can get fit by walking and it only costs the price of a pair of decent sneakers. Don't let worrying about a gym membership distract you from your goals.
  13. Hey everyone, I lost another ten pounds this much so the doc is happy with me. I had my second fill today. I'm feeling very positive and happy about everything. Except the PA told me not to eat Lean Cuisines for lunch because they're too "slide-y" with the sauces and gravies. Damn. I like the ease and portion control. I still might eat them sometimes. I'll see how it goes. Keep up the good work, everyone!
  14. Wow, I was banded the same day and I've only lost 40 pounds since then. Way to go!
